We supply new and used shipping containers, modular homes, cabins, flat racks, refrigerated containers, trailers, and related equipment to customers across Australia.

2. Acceptance of Terms

By visiting our website, placing an order, or making a payment, you confirm that you:

  • Have the legal authority to enter into a binding contract

3. Products and Descriptions

We make every effort to accurately describe our containers and equipment, including dimensions, condition, and specifications. However:

  • Product images are for illustration purposes and may vary slightly from the actual item delivered
  • Used containers may show signs of wear, surface rust, dents, or patching which are normal for pre-owned steel containers and do not constitute a defect
  • Specifications such as weight capacity, dimensions, and condition ratings are provided in good faith based on available information
  • It is the customer’s responsibility to verify that the product meets their specific requirements before ordering

4. Pricing

All prices displayed on our website are in Australian Dollars (AUD) and are inclusive of GST unless otherwise stated.

  • Prices are subject to change without notice
  • The price displayed at the time of your order confirmation is the price you will be charged
  • Shipping and delivery costs are additional and calculated at checkout or provided via quote
  • We reserve the right to correct any pricing errors and will notify you promptly if a pricing error affects your order

5. Orders and Payment

5.1 Order Placement By submitting an order on our website, you are making an offer to purchase. Your order is not confirmed until you receive a written order confirmation from us.

5.2 Payment Methods We accept the following payment methods:

  • BSB Bank Transfer
  • PayID
  • Direct Bank Transfer

5.3 Payment Terms

  • Full payment or agreed deposit is required before order processing begins
  • For large or custom orders, a deposit of up to 50% may be required to secure your order
  • The remaining balance is due prior to delivery
  • Orders will not be dispatched until full payment has been received and cleared

5.4 Failed Payments If payment fails or is reversed, your order will be placed on hold and you will be contacted to resolve the matter within 48 hours.

6. Delivery and Site Requirements

6.1 Delivery We deliver nationwide across Australia using tilt-tray trucks, side loaders, flatbed transport, and crane services where required. Delivery timeframes are estimates and are not guaranteed.

6.2 Site Responsibility The customer is solely responsible for ensuring:

  • The delivery site is accessible, level, and firm enough to support the container
  • Adequate height and width clearance exists for the delivery vehicle
  • All necessary permits, council approvals, or body corporate approvals for container placement have been obtained
  • A responsible adult is present at the time of delivery to accept and sign the delivery docket

6.3 Failed Delivery If delivery cannot be completed due to site inaccessibility, absence of a responsible person, or incorrect address information provided by the customer, a redelivery fee will apply.

6.4 Risk of Loss Risk of loss or damage to the goods passes to the customer upon delivery and acceptance at the delivery location.

7. Cancellations

7.1 Customer Cancellations Orders may be cancelled within 24 hours of placement provided the order has not yet been dispatched. To cancel, contact us immediately at Sales@Shippingcontainersptyltd.au with your order number.

7.2 Cancellations After Dispatch Once an order has been dispatched, it cannot be cancelled. You must follow the return process outlined in our Refund and Return Policy.

7.3 Deposit Refunds If a cancellation is approved, deposits may be subject to a cancellation fee to cover administrative and logistics costs incurred.

7.4 Our Right to Cancel We reserve the right to cancel any order at our discretion. If we cancel your order, you will receive a full refund of any amounts paid.

8. Returns and Refunds

Our Refund and Return Policy forms part of these Terms and Conditions. We offer a 15-day return window on eligible products. Key conditions include:

  • Items must be in original, unmodified condition
  • Customised or structurally modified containers are not eligible for return
  • Return shipping costs for large equipment are the customer’s responsibility unless the return is due to our error
  • Refunds are processed within 5–10 business days of receiving and inspecting the returned item

9. Warranty

9.1 New Containers New containers are covered by a 12-month structural warranty against manufacturing defects under normal use conditions.

9.2 Used Containers Used containers are sold in an as-is condition. While we accurately describe their condition, used containers do not carry a structural warranty. Surface rust, dents, and minor repairs are normal characteristics of used steel containers.

9.3 Warranty Exclusions The warranty does not cover:

  • Damage caused by improper use, modification, or installation
  • Normal wear and tear
  • Weather-related damage after delivery
  • Damage caused by the customer or third parties

10. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by Australian law:

  • Shipping Containers PTY LTD’s total liability to you for any claim arising from your purchase shall not exceed the amount you paid for the specific product giving rise to the claim
  • We are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages including but not limited to loss of profits, loss of business, or property damage arising from the use or inability to use our products
  • We are not responsible for delays caused by circumstances beyond our reasonable control including but not limited to natural disasters, strikes, government actions, or carrier disruptions

11. Consumer Guarantees — Australian Consumer Law

Nothing in these Terms and Conditions excludes, restricts, or modifies any rights you have under the Australian Consumer Law (ACL) which cannot be excluded. Our products come with guarantees that cannot be excluded under the ACL. You are entitled to a replacement or refund for a major failure and compensation for any other reasonably foreseeable loss or damage.
